If you have never seen the Mediterranean coastline from the beaches of South of France than you are truly missing out on something special. With you feet planted in the sand on any of the beaches of South of France you will be able to gaze at some of the clearest and bluest water that you have ever laid eyes on. With plenty of beaches for you to choose from, let me help point you in the right direction.
Vias Plage
Vias Plage is a hidden gem located just south of Cap d’Agde on the coast. This beach is easily accessible for families and doesn’t leave you standing in a crowd of people. This beach has plenty of attractions for the whole family. From mom and pop type cafes to nice bed and breakfasts for that romantic get-a-way that you have been putting off.
Vias Plage has the most beautiful beaches that I have come across. Where the crystal clear water meets the beautifully taken care of coastline is exactly where I think everyone needs to visit at least once. Don’t blame me if your significant other starts talking about buying a place right on the beach. You have been warned!
La Grande-Motte, Point Zero
Have you ever seen Pyramid Hotels? If not then La Grande-Motte at Point Zero will be an amazing experience for you. This beach is perfect for the whole family with its array of attractions and many different restaurant experiences. This beach can get crowded during the summer months but the stunning architecture that you can find there is second to none. I highly suggest taking the time to visit this beach and make sure you take in the amazing views.
Cap Ferrat, Paloma Plage
If your looking to mingle with the rich and famous than you might want to plan time to visit Cap Ferrat, Paloma Plage. This beach is located in one of the richest areas in all of France. The stunning sandy beaches are only outdone by the view from out in the water itself. All you need to do is swim a short distance out into the crystal clear waters and turn around. The view of all the amazing French Mansions that await is enough to take your breath away.
If you are looking for a good spot to whip out those fins and snorkels than this is just your location. Just don’t be shocked if you wind up diving next to people like Paul Allen, Microsoft cofounder, who has a mansion located on this sandy beach.
Theoule-sur-Mer, Cannes
Looking for a sandy beach for the family as well as the biggest movie festival of the year? Theoule-sur-Mer in Cannes is the place to go. This beach is away from the always overcrowded public beach.
Follow the signs to Theoule-sur-Mer and you will find a secluded beach that has a lot going on without the onslaught of people that pack the public beach. They have an amazing strip of bars as well as plenty of cafes where you can get a home cooked meal for the whole family. Some of the movies that you can see while visiting are spectacular and an experience that you can’t get anywhere else in the world.
If you have been putting of traveling to the beaches of South of France than it is time to check this experience off your bucket list. Whether it is rubbing elbows with the rich and famous or just finding an amazing beach to relax with the family, the South of France has you covered.
