What to do in the French Riviera

The question of what to do in the French Riviera is a hard one to answer. The reason is that this region has a wide variety of history and attractions. Whether it’s amazing beaches, architecture that is thousands of years old or some of the best wineries in the world the French Riviera has you covered.

Monaco is the crown jewel of the French Riviera. Monaco offers amazing sights, some of the best fine dining in the world, racing and casinos as well as some of the most stunning views of the coast in all of France. I would suggest scouting out restaurants before you visit so that you can find the right one for your taste as well as your budget. Before dinner I would highly encourage you to stop by the Palace to get the true Monaco experience. Finish that up with a race at the Formula One Grand Prix circuit and call it a night after visiting Casino Square.

South-France-Beach-HouseCannes is also an amazing place to spend some time in the French Riviera. Put on the map by its annual film festival, this town has a wide variety of attractions from casinos and restaurants, festivals, lovely beaches and a night life that is unlike most places in the world. One of the most stunning features of Cannes is that it is mixed in with the older sections of town that have kept the old time luster of this once quaint fishing town.

Nice comes in right behind Paris as far as complete cultural experiences go. Whether your looking for shopping, recreation or the nightlife experience, Nice has you covered. The beach and ocean experience vary widely depending on what side of the city you are on and you can’t go wrong with either one. Nice has more than half a dozen museums that would take an extended stay just to navigate. Mixed in with all this extravagance are sidewalk cafes that are perfect for spending an afternoon tasting some authentic cuisine.
